03 July 2008 Stolen: Bridgestone unknown

Stolen on 03 July 2008 from 2740A NE MLK Jr BLVD Portland, OR

Very unique, fire-engine red bike with chrome wheel guards and a silver chain guard. The kick-stand goes around the back tire and lifts the back of the bike when in use (like european bikes). It has a gray seat, gray handles, and a gray basket on the front. I put collapsible baskets on the back (there is a zip-tie fastening one of them, I broke it). The rack above the back tire is particularly wide. There are two locks connected to the bike, the one in the back loops around the tire, and the one in the front goes through the spokes like a stick. I got the bike in Japan, so it's a standard Japanese bike (like the one in the photo). There is a round disk at the base of the handle bar (to lock the handle into place and keep it from turning) with a sticker in japanese writing around it. On the main frame, there is a very small clear sticker with white writing that says "Feel happiness and peace. Lets' go out with this bike and have a good time" There is a small, detachable, oval, red light below the seat. The light on the front is powered by a small generator (the switch for the generator is on the left handle bar). I have no photo of the actual bike, but the blue bike in the picture is the same make and model.

01 July 2008 Stolen: Univega Via Carisma

Stolen on 01 July 2008 from 4748 N Vanderbilt St Portland, OR

A tan Univega Via Carisma was stolen off of my front porch. The cable lock was cut through and left on the porch. I would really like to get this bike back as it was my main transportation to work and back. It has a Weirs Cyclery sticker the frame. It also has a University of Portland sticker on it, with the number 1146 on the sticker. It has a big cushiony seat on it as well.
